Ebay advice
So I'm selling something on Ebay and I'm pretty serious about getting it sold correctly. It ends tomorrow afternoon (thursday the 13th) and I just now got my first four bids. They were all from the same man, and the guy's got a -1 feedback! I look at his feedback and 3/4 are from sellers complaining that he never planned on paying for the item. They were, however, from two years ago.
What do you think? Should I boot him? I already emailed him asking to not bid if he's not planning on paying. If anything, how do I retract just his bids? Thanks for any advice guys -T Also: I started the auction at $130.00. He made four bids, and the auction is still at $130.00. What gives? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3723191356

well as for the four bids that could just be that he inceased his max bid but with proxy bid it will only increase the bid as necessary. as for wheither of not to boot him... i have sold alot (60-70) items on ebay and just tell him you need payment in 48 hours after close of auction (i assume your useing paypal or similar thing and if you arn't ...you should) and if he doesn't relist.

One "coincidental" thing is that he already emailed me asking if he could pay on Monday (it closes on Thursaday) due to a check he has coming. Of course I won't sell until he's got it.
What do you think? Here's a longshot: He too is listing a Bass Pod and wants his to end before mine and doesn't want me to relist it until after Monday...? hmm -T

I dont know... That bad feedback plus the wanting wait makes me suspicious. I wouldnt do it. Even if no one else bids on it, you can always relist it.

I'd get a pal to bid the roof off the item and then sit on it for a bit and try to re-sell it. If butt-head scammer keeps trying to bid, have your bud keep out-bidding.
Also, in my listings I've put in disclaimers that say that I won't sell to anyone without at least 95% positive. Not sure what the rules are at eBay's end, but I've not had problems since. |

Yeah that's an idea, but what's the point? In the end, either my friend would win, who wouldn't buy it, or the other man would, who supposedly won't buy it...
