Any BSD users?

Just wondering if anyone here uses/used/wants to use any flavor of BSD

I wanted to know if this was a good place to ask any questions/post any solutions I have found

OSX is not BSD but is based on FreeBSD.
I have an OSX mahince and use FreeBSD as a router/web/irc server.

iirc, my fileserver is running FreeBSD 5.0DP1, just because I'm too lazy to upgrade to anything more recent (and it's too damn stable to warrent the upgrade).

I've also got SunOS 4.1.4 running on a sparcstation classic. Now that's a classic BSD, before they went across to System V with Solaris 2.x.

I'm sure I could find some other BSD boxes around here if I tried. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), most commercial *nixes are mostly system v (maybe with some extra bsd over the bits integrated into sysv) these days.

Darwin is the mach microkernel, with one of the servers being a bsd personality. Most of the *nix usermode and some of the kernel mode (which is still within the mach usermode) is based on freebsd. Oh the complexities of microkernels (ie. I've probably got some it wrong in there).
