repairing windows xp mbr
I messed up my windows xp master boot record trying to get rid of linux and now my system won't boot. I've tried to use my winxp cd and to get into the repair console, but it asks for an administrator password and I never set one. Whats another way to repair it?
Thanks, Robert |

My friend tried to do the same thing with the repair console, and it asked him for the adminstrator password as well. He never fucking set one! We just sat there confused. He ended up formatting because of it. Sorry that I can't help, just wanted to let ya know that I've seen the admin password thing you're talking about.

(Stupid obvious question) If you didn't set an admin password, when it asked you for one, did you try just leaving it blank?
