Webpages not refreshing
I'm not exactly sure how to explain this...
Some webpages that change daily haven't changed for me in 2 weeks. Pages like Yahoo and my Road Runner home page. They'er stuck somewhere around April 15th. What could be causing this? And how can I fix it? Thanks for the help! |
it means that the pages are cached in your temporary internet files... ususally hitting refresh (or F5) will clear them and reload. Otherwise you may have to clear your temporary Internet files
Tools -> Internet Options -> General tab -> delete files |
if you're in IE, go to Tools > Internet Options > General Tab - Temporary Internet Files > Settings > then make sure "check for newer versions of stored pages is set to "automatically". then click "OK".

I did all of the above and the problem seems to be solved. Thanks guys! :)

I think we need to form tilted technology consulting.. we have so many tech support girls and guys here.. i think we could solve anything
|
Isn't that kind of the point of Tilted Computers?
All of the tech support questions are asked here, and it's one of the major reasons this forum keeps going. Without the questions, there'd be about 10 posts a day probably, give or take. |
/me huggles the Tilted Tech Support Team ;)

i'm just stoked to know so many knowledgeable people here, and to help out when i can...
what would i do without tilted computers? |
I haven't had much activity here lately, but I'm a tech too. glad to see so many people here who know their stuff, and that I'll be able to give/receive help as well :)
