Welchia_ICMP Scan Attack?
I just started getting this intrusion attempt whenever I start up Connection Keep Alive, and the warning started shortly after my last update, I'm not exactly a computer whiz so I'm not too sure what this is, but it has not done anything bad to my machine and all my scans come up clean, it's kind of getting annoying now that I can't figure out how to get rid of it, I googled the problem and got 1 forum, that didn't really help any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Not sure if these will help, but here's some info on Welchia and general info on network traffic caused by worms:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com...chia.worm.html http://securityresponse.symantec.com...rpc.worms.html I guess if you keep your anti-virus definitions up to date and have your firewall setup right you'll be fine. You may want to run an Internet-based virus scan like http://housecall.trendmicro.com |
