Pop ups

I keep getting popups even though I have google pop up blocker and i just ran ad aware. The website that usually pops up has this address http://messagebroadcaster.net/wiper/sw1.htm, can anybody help me?

assuming you are using IE (certainly sounds like it) and just to get the cliched/fanboy responses out of the way ->
Opera
Mozilla or Firefox

edit: garish looking ad for a product providing services that you should not have to pay for.
edit2: Opera is my normal browser of choice but typing this from firefox (or "Mozilla Seabug" currently with that hilarious little extension that keeps changing the displayed name) as I was checking on Lakers/Rockets score on ESPN.
I ripped out IE's browsing capabilities entirely after my latest reinstall but >rant mode< the fucker got them back somehow (possibly when I updated flash, whoknows) and now I have to block it through Kerio  >/rant mode<

Have you tried running spybot search and destroy?

Use a personal proxy server.

I can't recommend this enough. Means you don't have to use Firefox or Opera if you don't want to (but personally I do), as the controls they offer over your browsing FAR SURPASSES that offered by any browser today.

Plus, the two I'll list below are entirely free.

Both are very easy to setup; don't be put off.

what exactly does a personal proxy server do.....?

I've been using the free popup blocker from http://www.panicware.com for a while now.
It does a really good job of blocking what it's supposed to, and you can allow popups when you need them by holding CTL.

Try spybot it usually catches what ad aware doesnt. If not run msconfig and check to see if it loads in startup
