PayPal Help

ok so my dad got a message from service@paypal.com and he read it and it ask him to go to a web site and reenter some info. It had the payPal symbol and such so he thought it was real.

The link said it went to pay pal but it really went to trstrdtrf.com/verify and it asked him to go enter his email and password. it then linked him to something at the paypal site that wanted more info. he started to enter stuff but as he hit the bottem of the site it wanted bank name , accout number, and PIN.

should he be worried. he didn't enter the bank stuff he then exed out the site and called me.

So tell me did he get messed up. should he be worried that the trstrdtrf.com site got his email and password.

Thanks,
Password

yeah, paypal won't ever ask you for information like that unless you log on to your account on their site. And they would never ask for your pin #.

Alot of "cons" hit you up pretending to be pay-pal.

i recommend that your friend freeze his account immediately, if not sooner.

It's a scam. Immediately change the account password and report it to Paypal.

do exactly as has been said. Cancel the paypal account ASAP.

It's VERY easy to make an e-mail look like it came from where ever, and whenever you want it to. I could send you an e-mail right now that says it came from service@paypal.com

If anyone, from any service, e-mails you requestion any information whatsoever, always contact the service directly before doing anything about it. I don't know of any service that actually has ever done that.

Hope everything works out before they do anything bad. Paypal isn't very good about protecting its users.
