linux partition resizing utility
i'm trying to resize the home partition of my linux box so i can put windows xp on it too (networking experiments and whatnot). i tried to install parted and couldn't get it to run (missing a lib file that when installed was detected as still missing). what are some decent progs to resize a linux partition?

What about running it off of knoppix or systemrescuecd (QtParted)

I've always heard that you first install xp before you install linux. I don't know if has to be that way, but I've always heard people say that.

When I set my machine up for dual boot, I made sure to install Windows first. It wasnt bad at all. |
so i'm going to have to reformat linux anyway? well crap, guess i have plans for the evening

no, but you will need to look up how to rewrite LiLo (or Grub or whatever you use) to the MBR because Windows will overwrite it.
