PowerBook G4 CPU temps
I just downloaded Konfabulator for my PowerBook. I also downloaded the CPU temp widget. My temp has ranged from 126*F to 142*F. This seems very high. I know PowerBooks are known to run hot, so could it be normal? These temps are occuring during normal usage, pissing around on the net and the like. I haven't yet watched the temp when I'm doing more CPU intensive stuff, such as Photoshop or anything.

Maybe you should check to see if some process is hogging the CPU - it sometimes happens with sloppy programs and gets things hot. If you haven't already, open the Activity Monitor in Utilities, or open Terminal and type 'top' and press return, then you can see what is going on inside. |
