Ie shortcut icons on desktop,removal - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Hey everyone.I just got a new comp. recently and this morning I noticed 3 explorer shortcut icons on my desktop . They are also in my favorites , yet i didnt put them there. My homepage is also changed everytime i start up or restart. I know this is a pretty easy problem to fix and deal with in the future ie firewall. etc. , but if someone could help me get rid of theses shortcuts I would really appreciate it. Oh I am running XP . thanks!

There is a reason it is a sticky at the top of the computer forum. Also searching for topics before posting is a good thing.
