I recently got the Archos Studio 20 and I have seldomely been happier. The only crappy thing is that it's USB 1.1 instead of 2.0 but from what I read in my 'investigations' before I got it (I got it second hand BTW) Archos has some great products and do an amazing job. Almost everyone seems to love their Archos.
The only thing you have to watch out for is faulty products. Appearantly there are a higher-than-normal amount of faulty products leaving their production facilities, but you'll notice that within a fairly short amount of time anyway. They are expensive little critters though...

well doing a little googling im finding rave reviews on all of archos stuff...
i was wondering if anyone knew whether it was pretty easy to buy a lower end of one and swap out the hard drives with something bigger? i googled for a lil bit but didnt see anything...

well after a bit more googling i found this site... and its got some good links...
