I need *MORE* spam!

OK, I (think I) got my new linux spamassassin setup running. Thing is, I now need some spam to test it. Any ideas on how to get a shit ton of it directed to a test email account I have? I posted it to a couple of high traffic newsgroups, but I want some more. Any suggestions?

Also, IIRC there is a "standard" test spam email that you can send that will automatically trip spam detectors, I just cant for the life of me remember the name of it, so I cant google it up. Anyone happen to know what it is? Thanks

OK, signed up for a few, and am waiting for the hordes of spam to come crashing down the gates.

Any other suggestions?

Hah.. yeah, great idea! Just join some random warez channel with 1000+ people and ask,"can someone email me half life 2 retail ??????????" then post your email address.

That will do it too. Especially those \/1A!grA ones. Those are the ones that are being sent out to get legitimate addesses.

They've done everything in their power to get past all of the filters and are hoping someone replies with "Remove" in the subject line.

Now they have a legitimate addess.

I dont get any spam as it is. My university filters it *very* well. This filter I am setting up is for my parents. Hence, why I want spam--I dont get any to test it with

This is the funniest thing I have ever read! It works on so many levels!

-That a person would just ask for it before it's been released.
-That a person would expect everyone else to do the work.
-That they think an e-mail is an acceptable method of transferring huge files.

And most importantly it would do exactly what you want! Attract tons of spam!

GTUBE...

put

Quote:
XJS*C4JDBQADN1.NSBN3*2IDNEN*GTUBE-STANDARD-ANTI-UBE-TEST-EMAIL*C.34X
in the message body; spamassassin will add 1000 points (yes, one thousand) to the message. DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU USE AUTOWHITELISTING!

This is bringing back the bad memories of creating custom regular expression for customers to filter out that kinda stuff with Symantec AntiVirus/Filtering 3.0.

Oh the humanity...
