Buildin' younger bro's computer
Hey guys, I was here about a year ago for help building my own computer, and everybody was really helpful, so I thought I'd return for some advice in building my younger bro's computer. I mostly need confirmation about processors/ram/motherboard. He insists on using a pentium, even though I've told him it's much more cost effective to do otherwise. Anyhow, here's a tentative list. Looking for advice on compatability and/or better parts in the same price range at each spot. Thanks in advance. =D
Edit: Okay, listed all the actual products here rather than just in the links for easier viewing. Didn't mean to be inconsiderate, I'm just in a hurry because I have work in 20 minutes. =p Hope that helps. Could you please list the actual items instead of the links? It makes it easier for us to look at and critique. Thanks

I would go ahead and drop that Prescott if I were you, and get a 2.8 C core. Way better performance, and way better scores. Also, you should probably order fans and stuff like that from a place like Xoxide. You could probably get them for a better price on there.

Yes, the 2.8C are better processors than the 2.8E's.
Everything looks good, however that case will probably be a bit on the noisy side with the 80mm fans. That may not be a big deal for you, but when I first assembled a system I was thinking that I needed as many 80mm fan spots as possible, so I got a case that had 4 80mm fans. I replaced it 6 months later because of the constant loud noise with an Antec Super Lan Boy which uses two 120mm fans. The cooling staye dthe same, however it no longer sounded liek someone was always vacumming in my room .
