How you know Mozilla/FireFox is "making it"
They (the bad guys) actually made a (probably spyware) plugin for me to install. It popped up when I went to a random website that seems to be the type that has a ton of popups (I block them).
Anyways, I was just totally surprised that I was being prompted to install some software I didn't request. That's such an IE-thing Edit: I went to www.2.flingstone.com, definitely spyware. That page holds their EULA, which is very umm.. harsh. I usually don't read the EULA, so maybe they're all like this (any communication you have w/ the company is $300/hour, and you agree to pay any other costs for whatever.. they can change the EULA whenever they want w/o notice.. oh.. and you allow them to read your data . It almost looks like you're not allowed to uninstall it as well.. which seems weird.) Last edited by Latch; 04-10-2004 at 01:12 AM.. |

FYI, fixes for this are under discussion.
Bug 238684 - Onload (and onmouseover, onmouseout, etc.) XPI installs should be blocked by default
