Uninstalling DirectX 9.0b?
Well ever since I installed this because Call of Duty said I needed it, it's f'ed up CounterStrike and Everquest. They both run extremely choppy now due to installing it. Therefore I need to remove it. Anyone have any idea how this is done so I can go back to DirectX 9.0a? Thanks! Or if you know how get rid of the choppiness in EQ and CS without uninstalling DX 9.0b that would be superb. Thanks a bunch.

If you're using WinXP, and you set a restore point you can probably go back to before you installed it.
Unfortunately though, I think Dx (Like WMP9) can not be uninstalled. Although if I'm wrong here, someone please feel free to jump in, but I'm pretty sure about this one. Video drivers are a good place to start looking for a scapegoat when it comes to game performance issues... good luck with that |

If you google search for "uninstall DirectX" there's a couple of programs that claim to do this, however, I've used them before and never had much luck.
On the other hand, you may want to check this patch for EQ: http://eqlive.station.sony.com/news_...sp?story=61536
