Photoshop Elements vs Paint Shop Pro
I was wondering if there are many digital photo editors (ie, people) out there?
I'm trying to decide which photo editing application to use. The two options I have are Photoshop Elements II by Adobe and Paint Shop Pro 8 by Jasc. Any recommendations? Mr Mephisto |

not to be a smartass, but why not use both? unless you are paying for them. ohh ok I got it. sorry.
ok, honestly, it just depends on what you're doing. If you are seriously fucking with photos (fixing tears, cracks, redeye, blur, contrast, photo manipulation, etc.) I would DEFINITELY go with Photoshop. Definitely.

Photoshop Elements is Photoshop with all of the image creation stuff ripped out. It still has all of the photo manipulation stuff in it though. What this means is that you wont be able to make those crazy pure photoshop images you see all over the net, but it will do you just fine for photo editing. I know a couple professional photographers that use it.
I dont have any experience with PSP, so I cant comment on that. Were it me, I would go with PS Elements, but that is just because I am familiar with PS and know how to use it ![]()
