Powerpoint font mess
I think this is the right forum, so here goes:
Ok, so for this subject I'm taking the lecturer blitzes through all the lectures and I can't take down adequate notes, but he puts them up on the net so us, the students can look at them in more detail. But my powerpoint struggles with the formulae for example Instead of: Q = AK^(alpha)L^(beta) It spits out this: http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/olegz/ppmess.jpg I'm running Office 2000 on Windows 98SE at home, I suspect they run the new Office (2003?) at Uni. So a couple of questions.. why can't my powerpoint at home display the formulae properly.. and what can I do to fix it (barring installing Office 2003 ofcourse). If all else fails I could print them out at Uni but that would cost extra, so any ideas gang ? |
I believe there is a free download at Microsoft that allows a person to view powerpoint presentations.
You might try that. |
It looks like it's trying to display a font that you don't have. Try asking the prof. what font he uses and install it.

Can you highlight the text and select another font? Or maybe copy/paste it into a different program? If all else fails I guess you should just d/l the the ppt viewer, or try openoffice.
