Friggin' KVM!
I'm trying to save some desk space with a LinXcel PS-141B KVM Switch. I've got a standard monitor and PS2 keyboard running into it, but use a USB mouse (USB-to-PS2 converter attached to it running into the KVM).
Things work fine when I boot up, but once I switch machines, the mouse is functionally dead for both machines. Any ideas why this is occurring and possible fixes? (I've tried two separate USB mice - and am not willing to discontinuing use of both of them.) If this is a hopeless situation, do you have suggestions on a good KVM that can handle a PS2 keyboard and USB mouse? Thanks!

I think you are probably going to have problems finding a KVM that is PS/2 keyboard and USB mouse. The best solution would probably be to do what you are doing--use an adapter.
Try unplugging and replugging the mouse when it goes dead, see if that fixes it.
