Case Temp. Question
Here's a stupid question: If you have a hot case, why not just leave the case open? WOuldn't this solve the problem? Just wondering. Thanks and cheers

it's been done, and it generally works, if your only goal is to keep the temperature below dangerous levels. The trick is, you can usually get cooler temps with a proper cooling scheme and a closed case than you can by opening up the case. Plus, more dust can get in the case, it's more likely that something or someone will touch the stuff inside while the computer is on, etc.
