Once again, question regarding sharing
I, as suggested, un-seleceted simple share. But it only allows me to set admit. right of different people which is not my intention. I want it so i can just give out a pasword to a person and he/she may log in. I am running winxp pro on a network

Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management
Under Local Users and Groups, goto users. Right click, add user, set make it so password doesn't expire and they don't have to change it (both always give me problems) Right click their name and set a password (I forget if it lets you when you make a user) Now when you right click a folder and choose share, you can pick everyone, or specific users, or groups (which you make in the same app, adding users to specific ones, etc). You can also give each user different powers. |
Thanks so much! solved my problem
