remote networking
I don't know anything about this stuff, remote networking, so hopefully someone can at least answer with a yes or a no.
I'm leaving town for the weekend, but would like to access my computer over the Internet from a remote location. Can this be done and to what extent? The operating system is Windows Server 2003. Can I start applications on the server remotely over the Internet?

2003 Server also has terminal services built in.
Another way is to use VNC . I use it to control all of my pcs remotley. It's open source, so it's free.

I would definitely use Terminal services, all you need to do is open port 3390 publicly and then use remote desktop connection ( which can be downloaded and installed on about any os, or built into xp) faster and more secure than vnc..... and its bult into 2003 so its free.....

Why would you use VNC?
RDP is built in to server2003, you don't need to add any extras. Do it the clean way and go with a the M$ application thats already built in.
