Problems with MP3 playback on DVD player
Hello all, alas another question for the collective intelligence.
As usual, I put a MP3 cd into my DVD player and turned it on. I noticed that every 3-5 seconds there is a small hiccup comming from the audio, almost like winamp being run without sufficient resources. So, I tried another mp3, burned it onto the disk, and viola, same problem. I've cleaned the lens in the player a while back, but mp3 playback has been great until now. They only problem that I can think of is a new kind of CD-R media that I recently acquired. But, all other cd-based devices in the house and at school don't have a problem with them at all. Any thoughts on the cause of my mp3 playback hiccups on my Panasonic DVD-RV31k? -SF |

hmmm I'd recommend you check out www.dvdrhelp.com under dvd player compatibility and see what other people have said works with your specific dvd player and if they've also had problems with mp3 playback. good luck.

I have had something similar with regular CDs. Could be a WinXp thing (you do have XP....right???) XP has a LOT of polling and checking going on at all times. Has anything else changed with your system? New speakers, installed any other software, games...??? You might also post this on Tilted Computers just to see if anyone else has had this happen.
