Does anyone know about this holographic projector?
I read about it on Fark and saw the website but I lost the link. Anyone know what Im talking about.. HELP

hmm.. thats not the same one i saw, but still interesting. This one had a unit that sat on a table and projected an image upwards like on starwars. It was really unique.

at CEWS this year (and last year too) they held a conference using projectors, computers and a videocamera for "teleporting" a keynote speaker from Europe to Las vegas. There was a videocamera on each end to show him the audience and to show us him, and using the computers and projectr we were able to see a 1:1 scale projection of the man while he was speaking. The good doctor even told jokes, and interacted with the audience fairly well and without lag. and with the sound system they set up he could hear everythying in the room. They also had a laptop using stereoscopic viewing whic can be found here

I havent seen any real holography yet. Most of the techniques still involve the image being projected onto a see-through surface.
To me, real Holographic images would be the ones that are projected into thin air, regardless of the environment. |
