Can you identify a power plug for me
Hey,
I just got a new motherboard, and it has a power plug that i have no idea what to do with. Its the same as a standard cd/hdd power plug but it goes into the mother board. just beside the agp port. the manual says "You can plug your agp power cable into here" i tried plugging the video card power cable into it, and it complained, so i tried plugging the video card into the standard poser supply cable and it was happy with this. At the moment i have nothing plugged into the plug and its happy with it. Just wondering whether im meant to have something into it.

no picture needed. it's for newer video cards that actually need a seperate molex connector to power them. I'm assuming the connector on your motherboard is female, meaning you plug something into it, it doesn't plug into something else.
I'd try messing with some options in BIOS or something to get it working correctly.
