computer problem....
ok well a few weeks ago my hard drive crashed... and i lost everything.... it was on a raid 0 array and all that
so i reinstalled windows and ever since then ive been getting bluescreens... the same bluescreens i used to get when i started to push my processor too far... at first it wasnt very often and i installed asus probe to monitor my temperatures.... their fine... water cooling is doing great.... just a few degrees above ambient.... but now theyve been getting more common.... daily.... and now seemingly more.... i dont know whats going on but ive tried turning my overclock down back to normal stock settings... and it doesnt seem to be helping.... anyone have any ideas.... yah happy fucking birthday me....

first off if you could post all of the specs for your computer, and maybe even driver versions...
one possibility too look into is the ram..check out memtest86, google it.. if there are no problems, pull out all the additional pci cards and leave the agp card in, try your machine like that and see if your problems dont go away. |

What are you ussually doing when it blue screens? Does it do it during boot up? Plyaing a game? Playing music?
What does the first couple lines say when it does blue screen? Ussually it will say unalbe to.... somthing.. or somthing about IRQ's or Devices..

its pretty random... happens a lot when its idle and locked overnight... happens when im sitting here surfin the net... *shrug* i havnt noticed anything that sets it off
and it gives me something "IRQL less then or equal"

I would go into your Bios and start disbaling things that you don't need... Such as Parell port, serial ports, onboard sound (cause you have a sound card) This will also speed you boot up slightly. Also be sure that you have you have "Plug and Play OS" enabled in the bios. This will alow windows to manage IRQ's..
If that doesn't work I would try pull out your sound card for a day or 2 just to see if that solves the issue...

ok so i figured since it started happening after my hard drive died and i stopped using the raid... that maybe it was hard drive related...
i unplugged my storage drive (the only one on the RAID controller) and ran stable for 4 days... i plug it back in... and im bsoding again... so i guess its either related to this hard drive or to the RAID controller... i guess tomorow ill try plugging the drive into a regular ide channel and see what that does...

Check here
This is the Microsoft support site for IRQL... I've had this problem before and it was, I think, a conflict with a Symantic product and a driver. Can't remember off the top of my head. Check out the site though and good luck. |

Sounds like it could be a problem with the system not releasing memory properly. You run the system for awhile and it takes more and more of the ram.. You might even be seeing a very large swap file..
