that particular one in the picture only holds 1-2 GB or so of data. The iPod's hard drive holds up to 40, but it's CONSIDERABLY bigger than the one in the picture. While the hard drive is 1.8 inches, they mean thick, not as a square. The hard drive in the iPod is still pretty small though.......
