hs_err's?
So, I have had some funny stuff going with IE lately. every once in a while it will shutdown randomly and close all IE windows and then a little text file will appear. The files are called hs_errpidxxxx (where x= a random number beginning with a 2 or 3) inside these little error files it says this:
An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM. Unexpected Signal : unknown exception code (0xe06d7363) occurred at PC=0x77E73887 Function=RaiseException+0x50 Library=C:\WINDOWS\system32\kernel32.dll Current Java thread: at sun.plugin.services.WIExplorerBrowserService.installBrowserEventListener(Native Method) at sun.plugin.viewer.LifeCycleManager.installBrowserEventListener(Unknown Source) - locked <0x100cb180> (a java.lang.Object) at sun.plugin.viewer.LifeCycleManager.checkLifeCycle(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin.viewer.IExplorerPluginObject.initPlugin(Unknown Source) - locked <0x100cb158> (a sun.plugin.viewer.IExplorerPluginObject) at sun.plugin.viewer.IExplorerPluginObject.mayInit(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin.viewer.IExplorerPluginObject.frameReady(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin.viewer.frame.IExplorerEmbeddedFrame.setFrameSize(Unknown Source) Then it goes on to list a bunch of 'dynamic libraries' and finishes with Heap at VM Abort: Heap def new generation total 576K, used 154K [0x100c0000, 0x10160000, 0x10820000) eden space 512K, 17% used [0x100c0000, 0x100d69b8, 0x10140000) from space 64K, 100% used [0x10150000, 0x10160000, 0x10160000) to space 64K, 0% used [0x10140000, 0x10140000, 0x10150000) tenured generation total 1408K, used 1020K [0x10820000, 0x10980000, 0x160c0000) the space 1408K, 72% used [0x10820000, 0x1091f1b8, 0x1091f200, 0x10980000) compacting perm gen total 4096K, used 3405K [0x160c0000, 0x164c0000, 0x1a0c0000) the space 4096K, 83% used [0x160c0000, 0x164135d0, 0x16413600, 0x164c0000) Now this has happened a good number of times but it's not a huge problem as far as I see it. The question is do you guys think its a problem or possibly know what it is? I am running windows xp pro on an emachine emonster. Thanks for any help |

Your problem is with the Java Virutal Machine. You need to check microsoft of Sun's website and download the latest JVM for IE.
