I have been working like crazy for the past month and pretty much quadrupled my hours so that means about 2 checks of overtime. To celebrate this newfound winfall, i could save my cash......or buy a new toy!

I ride public transportation and will be headed to LA and California as a passenger a lot in the next few months so i need something to occupy my time while im riding for hours on end.

I was looking at these 2 items to purchase

The Archos 20gig player

and

RCA lyra vidoe jukebox

Given all the data i can find on these, i was wondering if anyone had either of them, and what were some pros and cons.

I would be watchng mostly divx and xvid encoded avi files, but converting to mpeg wouldnt really be a problem for me.

Any thoughts?

the head of nickolodeon gave away the Archos to all the senior people in his group.

they are nice units.

i don't know how well they wear. IMHO they are too expensive still for the stuff you get out of it.
