And then there was Prescott...
Looks like the new P4's are out and its nothing to get excited about.
From the benchmarks it looks as though we're not going to see any performance blitzes until they ramp up the clock speeds. In the dollar to performance ratio, it looks as though AMD64 is the way to go! ah well, I can only guess that this is Intel's last hurrah before moving to a new pin-standard. Either that, or there's some Prescott-god-chip waiting in the wings, and Intel's letting people see these shitty ones now, just to say, "hey this is the lowest we have to offer, look how it stacks up against the competition."
