Was wondering where i can get linux. I have a old system that i wanna put it on and fiddle around. Was also wondering if there is diffrent types of linux. Which one is the most userfriendly. And can you network linux/windows togeter? Thanks )

You can download Linux for free from countless sites on the web. Check out http://www.linuxiso.org/ or http://www.linux.org.

INHO, Mandrake is probably the easiest, or maybe RedHat if you want simplicity of installation/setup.

And you can interconnect Windows and Linux. Check out Samba for file sharing, or just use something like FTP for simple file sharing.

Like Mr. Mephisto said, you should check out the basic linux websites to get some insight into what linus is, and what it can do. Also, you might want to grab a copy of Running Linux from Oreiley.
