As long as you have good airflow in the case and some Arctic silver 5 grease between the proc and heatsink it should work.

I would get something better, but maybe it's just me.

ThermalRight SLK900A

92mm Vantec Tornado

That's what I just got for the 3200+ I ordered the other day. It may be more than you're willing to pay because that'll cost you about $50, but you won't have any heat issues with that.

because you can save hundreds and buy a 2500+ and get the same results with some modifications.......

you're talking to a poor geek here though......but still, even rich people tend to still buy the 2500+, just because the 3000 and 3200 are such a joke

I know, but the 3200+ doesn't cost $470 right now like it did a few months ago. If it did I wouldn't have bought it. It costs $207 right now. Maybe it's still a bit more than most are willing to spend, but I already spent a ton of cash, and what's an extra $110 over the 2500+... To me, not much. To each his own.

Ha ha, I enjoy this one:

It's only average in comparison to most CPU fans. For a damn CPU radiator I expect it to be better than average!

Those might be nice but my cooling is a bit more effective...

Hey, at least ours last more than 5 minutes. That P4 setup shorted out a few seconds after the video ended due to condensation.

And don't forget that it is too unstable to even benchmark...

The price decides what's cheaper.
A 2500+ is $110 cheaper than a 3200+.

I've always like Alpha heatsinks. You can put pretty much any 80mm fan on it and it still runs cool.

what about this for cooling...?
http://www.coolermaster.com/index.ph...ero%207%20Lite

would this let me overclock the 2500 to the 3200?

it's not the CPU cooler that allows you to overclock. it's the front side bus on your RAM. now if you have a high enough FSB on your RAM, then you can say that the CPU cooler does in fact determine whether you can OC it to 3200+. and I'm sure it would, but you would have to turn it up all the way. I would get a Thermalright SLK-900 heatsink and a thermaltake 80 or 92 MM fan, that would definitely enable you to OC it to 3200+, while staying moderately quiet.
