High quality mp3 (or any music) ripping?
I keep hearing about all the options with ripping mp3s, so can anyone recommend some of the software with all these features (windows based). Doesn't have to be mp3 either, just something with nice quality and compression, and good software to do it on
Thanks

I absolutely recommend Exact Audio Copy to rip CDs. It uses sophisticated error correction to help ensure that the result is free of glitches, skips and other errors. I've ripped heavily-scratched CDs with it and they came out sounding great. The trade off is that it is very slow. The worse the CD, the slower the rip. This is because if it encounters an bad block on the CD, it will repeatedly read that block until it is sure the data is correct, before moving to the next block.

I second Exact Audio Copy. To set it up to compress mp3's, use this (http://www.chrismyden.com/nuke/modul...&file=painless) Guide.

I recommend the above as well. For more information about quality MP3 encoding, check out Hydrogen Audio.
