Explorer Virus
I'm having some kind of issue with my explorer. The problem appears to be some kind of virus that has infected the search bar. A max of two times, once when I start explorer and once a little while after I've been on, I will suddenly experience a popup ad that takes up the entire screen. If I press any key, it says please wait while document finishes loading. So, I just hold alt which brings up that little thing and press f4 three times and it'll close. When I close it, my search window on the explorer has been opened and the place where you type what you're searching for is gone and replaced by:
[object] just like that. Anyone know what the problem is... or more importantly... how to get rid of it? |

I've seen this kind of thing before, typically it's a result of surfing pr0n (I'm not judging ). The first thing I'd do is scan with Adaware and/or Spybot S+D.
After that if you still can't get rid of it you're gonna have to search for help on google. Sorry man I know your pain, I've had to reformat a couple of times get rid of this kinda shit. Then I switched to Opera for surfing "those sites."

Ad-aware, Spybot S&D, and Spywareblaster. These programs are always recommended on this board and for a very good reason. If I were you (actually, this is good advice to anyone), I'd get them and learn to use and love all three.
