Outlook 2003 contacts not synching with address list. Need help! - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I recently re-installed WinXp Pro and Outlook 2003. I had backed up my outlook pst file. Everything is fine after I reinstalled Outlook 2003 but my contacts aren't sinking up with the address list. I can view my contacts fine in the contacts tab but when I create a new email and click the To: button I get his message:

Anyone know how to fix this problem?

I get a similar error at times. It seems to deal with accessing your "old" PST.

I don't have a solution for you but you're not alone.

go to start settings control panel

mail

data files

start there youve probably got two contacts folders the first one probably points to your old folder

backup your pst file etc before messin around if poss

Well, maybe you already tried this, but, you might try <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/office/Outlook/prodinfo/default.mspx">here</a>. They seem to know what is happening with such problems. It will probably require an update that will make something else not work though.
