Getting Component Video from a PC
I just put together a HTPC with, among other things, a AIW ATI 9600 Pro. I also bought a vga-to-component cable from triangle cables.
http://store.yahoo.com/trianglecable...253-506iv.html The problem is that when I hook the cable up it won't work, no picture at all. I got the adapter because the AIW said it had component out, but now it looks like they want you to buy their proprietary adapter. It can be found here. http://buy.ati.com/shopati/product.a...c=&country=USA In the settings for the video card it has an option for component but it's grayed out and I can't select it. Does anyone have any experience with this, any ideas? I really don't want to have to go and buy the ATI adapter since I already have this one. Any help would be appreciated. |

If that's the case, you'll probably be stuck using ATI's adapter. It sucks that they don't show a pic on the site, it'd be interesting to see just what it looks like. It only costs $11 more, and you could just return the other one. That's my thought.
