Scripting question???
I'm guessing that a script needs to be made for this, but I'm not very familiar with scripts so I don't know. What I want to do is be able to send a script file to people in my office, via email, that would do certain thingd. In this case I want the script to put a shortcut on the user's desktop to a networded folder. Does anyone know how to do this or have any scripting resources. By the way the client computers are XP Pro and a few 2000's.

You can do this..
First, I don't think you want scripts running through e-mail. That's a bad thing (TM) like viruses..
If your users are logging into an AD system, or domain, you can put the script into the netlogon share on the servers, then point the users profiles to the script, so when they log in, they run the script & get the schortcuts etc.... |

There is another thread floating around with the same question. As JohnnyRoyale says, an Active Directory network will easily allow this using a login script (DOS batch file actually).
