Windows 98 -> 2000 password prompt
I run win 2000 and my wife runs win 98. Our computers are connected via a router (Ethernet). I can easily access her hard drives, and have them mapped as network drives. Ditto for her printer. However, when I try to set it up the other way, mapping my w2k drives into her w98 computer, it asks me for a password. No user ID, just a password. I've heard this is a common problem when trying to get win 98 to talk to anything more modern, but does anyone know if there is a way round it, or what said "password" actually is? I've tried the password that my user account has, I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing seems to work.
Any ideas?

Have you tried creating a user account on the Win2k machine with the user name and password from the 98 box? It's been a while since I had mixed that combination, but if I remember correctly, that helped me. If it doesn't work, there are much brighter minds than mine here.
