router HELP plz.
I am currently using a NetGear v MR814v2 router and it runs 95 percent of my applications perfectly. However, i am experiencing problems with the games Starcraft and Call of Duty. With starcraft it says i need to open port 6612 b/c it was having trouble recieving some sort of packets. (PDB?) Also w/ call of duty i have two serperated games, however i cant get 2 computers on my network to join the same game but they can run 2 seperate server games perfectly. I need help and any suggestions.

You need to set port forwarding in your router's configuration to open up those specific ports.
Check your router's manual. Usually, to access the setup, you type in "192.168.xx.xx" in the URL for IE (or any other web browser). Then in the setup, you need to find the section where there is port forwarding. Enter in those ports that need opening and save the settings. It should run properly now. As for the Call of Duty problem, make sure that you search under LAN games, not Internet Games. |

we can get lan to work right, but when we try to join the same internet game we both crash out.
