flash player problems
I have tried several times but cannot get macromedia flash player to install. I can however get shockwave to install. I have looked in internet options but do not see anything keeping it from installing. what is wrong? Is there some setting I need to look at? I also have activex stuff not being able to be installed in case they are a common problem.

You could try going into - Tools - Internet Options - Settings - View Objects and that will pop up a folder with a few file in it. One file sould say something a about "Flash Player" delete that file or all the file in that folder, don't worry about deleting something you need, because if you do your PC will just download it again. After you delet tose file goto a flash site and it will ask you to instll the flash player again. Hope this helps

unfortunatly it did not work. Heck I even tried the repair and reinstalling of IE and still no joy.

I heard something about firewall issues. Try disabling your firewall and playing a "safe" file. I haven't done it myself.. Maybe you can save a Flash file to your desktop, check it for viruses, then play it.

the firewall is not the issue it will install on other computers through the firewall
