"links"
I am after getting windows 2000 on my computer, and now when I try to open links displayed on web pages they will not open.
Can someone please tell me how to fix this as I am not very clued in on how computre's work |
I wish i could help you out, but I don't really understand what you are trying to say. :(
|
Take for example the link to "chat" on TFP. I can highlight it but it will not open, or when a website shows a link to another site.
I can see the http... on the bottom of my monitor when I place the pointer on the link but it wont open. Sorry if you cannot understand what I am trying to say but I am not what you would call computer aware |
What happens when you right click the link? Does it give you an "open" option?
|
yes, and an option to open in a new window.
When I select one of these the link still does not open |
do u have a pop up blocker?
|
homer: this is a newly installed OS? and you're using Internet Explorer?
|
It sounds like I had the same problem. Click on the link that won't open, and then move your mouse over to the Active IE window icon on the taskbar and then right click on it and it might open then...
