W2kPro go boom !
Around 7ish my Win2kPro box decided to fall down a go boom, granted I did have Kazaalite downloading 1/2 the family guy library but that is beside the point. I restarted and what did I find but my auto-log on was gone. It has been about a year and 1/2 since I have entered the password for this box so I had no clue what it was. The only thought I had was to re-install Wink2kP and suck it up. Currently I have my drivers back and critical apps (firewall/AV/pppoe) are working. Anyone else have fun stories of having to do full system overhauls for stupid reasons ?

About 4 years ago, when I got my first real computer, I somehow managed to change to 16 colors. I thought my computer was broken or something, but then I had the sense to use the restore disk. Of course it worked, but I basically reinstalled the entire OS just because I didn't know how to change the resolution!
