drivers
im fixing a budies computer who got a virus that froze up hes whole system where it would not even turn on. So im just figure format. Hes runing win2k at the time. But hes Cd is 2 messed up to install it again so im puting a copy of 98 i have on it. Now it all goes good till i install and it dont find some of the drivers. It dont find a PCI multimedia audo devise. Funny thing is i dont have a PCI audio card. Its onboard. Now if i find out what MB i have(not sure how i can tell what MB it is) can you all tell me what drivers i need for this audio?

Maybe you should try going to Windows Update. I am using Windows XP Pro, and I got a driver update for my onboard sound card there, so maybe it'll have a driver for you.
If not, and if the computer is factory built, you can always try searching for that particular model on the manufacturer's site to see wha tcomponents were used. |

Find out who makes the motherboard and go to their website to get the specs on it.
