Force mono sound in OSX 10.3.2
Hi, first post. I'll get right to it. I have an iBook with 10.3.2 and it's connected to my receiver (stereo, can't be bridged) which has 1 Zenith Allegro MC4000 connected to it. Most my music is in stereo, but I love the sound of the old Zenith. The stereo tracks don't sound right out of one channel and I can't figure out how to bridge the stereo tracks in OSX.
Any suggestions? I'm familiar with terminal so a solution working at a lower level isn't a problem. It would be easier if someone just happened to have 1 or 2 Allegro 3/4000s they'd sell me. Thanks

Why don't you just use a stereo-to-mono RCA adapter out of your receiver to the Zenith? Or use the adapter out of the iBook and then a RCA Y adapter for feeding into the receiver.
