Isn't there a "Post Your Desktop" thread on TFP somewhere? If so, that could take place of this one. If not,

My Computer
My Network Places
Recycle Bin
Internet Explorer
Desktop Items (folder for often-used stuff)

I also have 0 programs on my Start/Programs listing. I have anything that I use on quicklaunch...I can't stand having programs on the Start Menu or on the Desktop!

Pfft, my quick launch is loaded with programs. I've got all my network monitoring/intrusion detection programs there, along with all my programming things. My desktop...it's full of crap. I don't use that as much as the quick launch or the run menu, start menu takes to long

A lot. More than I would like. But, I dont like filling up my quick launch with more than four programs, and I dont like the start menu, so I dont have that much of a choice...

Absolutely nothing, I only use it for temporary storage and I think the recycle bin is ugly. Does that make me strange?

Yeah, that's the exact thread I'm looking for. If people post pictures of their desktops, then we'll know what it has on it! I can't remember if this version of TFP has the thread yet or not. I don't wanna dig back a hundred pages either.

Not a single thing. I use Gnome, and I killed Nautilus dead. My desktop no longer supports icons on it, which is just the way I like it.

Now, my Gnome panels are jam-packed. But those icons are tiny and don't get in my way much.

I like to keep mine bare too. I've got 7 icons:

My Computer
My Network Places
Recycle Bin
My Documents
VPN.lnk
a text file
my Shared network folder

My Quick Launch bar, however, has all my games and programs on it. I think, after I deleted the 2 games of my HD I had recently, I'm at 18.

I mainly use it for temporary storage. But there is
nothing being stored right now. Other than that here is
what is there:

My Computer
Network Neighborhood
Recycle Bin

There are about 6 programs in my quicklaunch bar too.

Sounds like mine, only i ditched all icons, i have 3 in the panel, none on the desktop. I use 'run' instead, or a terminal.
It takes less effort to type in the name of the app, than move through menu's with the mouse.
As you can see here
