Slave HD Boot Error
After I shut down the pc for a while and I reboot it, it says "Primary Slave HD load failed" or something of that nature.
But...if I press CTRL ALT DEL there, it loads the secondary HD. There is also no problem when I restart the pc. What could this be? Primary HD : WD 160 GB Secondary : Maxtor 60 GB |

if it is the secondary drive, download maxtor's hdd utility to check the drive for errors. I stick with seagate drives for that exact reason. If there is an error, all their troubleshooting tools are online and will fill out RMA forms for you if something fails. With all others it is downlaod a dos utility, reboot the computer, find problem, restart into windows, go back to website and try to find page to RMA drive.
Hope it isn't the drive, that's always a pain in the ass. Good luck.
