not your usual pop up related question
I am browsing a site that has tons of stuff I would like to browse and check out except on every other damn page there is a pop up secuirty warning to install some browser utility which I of course know that I do not want so I hit no and keep surfing, my panicware.com pop up stopper is nailing all the window pop ups but nothing stops the security warning,s anyone know of a way to turn these off or workaroud for them on a temp site by site basis, like for instance when browsing porn turn them off so i do not get every porn sites installer exe phone dialer torjan, but have them turned on when browsing microshaft and it asks me to install a new detection tool for winupdates plase help the TFP knows all

or you could get mozilla ... |
I have the same problems but not from a porn site itself. In XP, where do you go to set browser settings to not install browser plugins? I checked in the internet settings and couldn't find that one.

go get a program called spywareblaster, it prohibits bad activex controls from even being asked whether or not to install.

Thanks for the info. Downloaded spywareblaster and will see what happens.

Spyware Blaster is great, it blocks all those crappy "Install-On-Demand" dialog boxes.
|
turn off active-x, that ought to hopefully stop all those messages.

i actually went and got the firebird beta .77 or whatever it was called for mozilla and love it. might be time for me to change browsers but it will require me some more time with the beast not going ona first quick impression
