This site has somehow manifested itself onto my internet explorer and i cant for the life of me get rid of it. it has become the default home page and it is determined to stay that way. I have tried everything i can think of to kill it, which includes reinstalling Internet explorer and resetting all of the internet settings. Does anyone know how to help me?

run the usual stuff - ad aware and spybot. it should get it outta your system.

I had a similar problem, only with something called cool-search.ws or something. Damn annoying, and neither adaware or spybot could clean it... I found a program called hijackit.exe or something like that, and that did the trick. Good luck on getting your default page unhijacked!

I eventually got rid of the problem. I had to run regedit, find all entries with wmmse and change them to google. There was also an application called explore.exe that reset those entries, so i deleted it.

Go http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/fr.../procexp.shtml
then download software, then delete one of following processes in memory:
explore.exe(BUT NOT exploreR.exe), internet.exe(BUT NOT internAt.exe),
instal.exe, systeem.exe, sendmail.exe, game.exe, winampnew.exe,
accesss.exe, gamedownload.exe, exas.exe, temp.exe.

Then download one more program:

run it and delete one of the following from your startup section

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Services\explore.exe
C:\Windows\internet.exe
C:\Windows\System\instal.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\systeem.exe
C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\sendmail.exe
C:\Program Files\directx\game.exe
C:\Program Files\Winamp\winampnew.exe
C:\Program Files\Accessories\accesss.exe
C:\Games\gamedownload.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\exas.exe
C:\temp.exe
or any program that looks strange, y.exe, 1.exe etc.

The person responsible for this crap will be punished and fired!
