do software cable descramblers exist?
I'm searching for a software cable descrambler, and the only ones I've seen are only PAL compatible (only work in europe). I'm looking for one that descrambles NTSC (one that works in the US).
If anyone's concerned about legal issues, I live on a college campus, my cable comes from the university, and there are no scrambled channels. I won't be stealing premium cable. This is just to satisfy my own curiosity about programs that I've heard about, but seem to be vaporware. |
If they can do PAL they can do NTSC, theres no significant differences

there is a program called fscktv that can descramble some things on a linux box with a bttv based card.

i looked for a looooong time... found some that were supposed to work... but never got anything that really did...
|
I've gotten fscktv to work, but only in black and white.

oops.. asked this question in another topic.. oh well..
so the fscktv works only in black and white?... that must be annoying.. i wonder if its the settings.. |
