Task Scheduler
I'm trying to automate my parents computer as much as possible. So I'm stepping into the Task Scheduler, but I can't think of any tasks to run. I have found a VBS file that will defrag every hard drive, but I need to do more. Some I have thought of are chkdsk and Disk Cleanup. If anyone has some suggestions of what Tasks I should put on their computer I'd appreiciate it.

Geez. This is a solution looking for a problem if I've ever heard one.
But fine. I'm game. Here's what you do. Write yourself a script to suck down their favorite web comics and build an HTML page with them, then launch that page in your web browser. Have it run at midnight, so when they get to their computer first thing in the morning, there they are. |

Antivirus updates (try to run every day at around 4PM to suck down the latest dat files - that way you can pick up the emergency releases when a new virus comes out (those are normally out by 2 or 3PM EST). To be honest, though, you can do this easier through the AV program than Task Scheduler.
Windows Update - again, easier when Automatic Updates is enabled as opposed to trying to run it manually. Other than that, can't think of much.
