Help Me Find An Alt. Media Player

I currently have serveral multi me apps. Real Player, DIVX player, Windows Media Player, Quicktime and probably a few I missed.

So is there any program that lets meplay all the file types these programs support?

I don't know of any that will play all of those, but I can suggest a program called Real Alternative that plays Real Player (.RM) movies without Real Player or Real One installed. I have it uploaded to my college webspace, so here ya go!

Winamp 5 will play MOST of those but not all. I don't think it can play Quicktime, and, to be honest, I'm not sure about Real Media. It can play pretty much anything else though.

QuickTime and Real Player formats are trademarked, so I doubt you probably won't find an app which will play those other than the Real Alternative mentioned above. Other than that, just download the Nimo codec pack and you'll be able to play most other clips with media player.

the Jet Audio player also handles RA files as well. One issue is the bloated size at 15 MB and I have no clue how good the support is for the newer Realone files is as I only use foobar2k these days for my audio files and never touch the *.rm or *.ram format.

Zoom Player 2.80 by VirtuaMedia

I will also suggest Media Player Classic. As long as you have Real Media Player and Quicktime installed, you should be able to use MPC to open those files.

Real Alternative and Quicktime Alternative are definately the way to go for real/quicktime. They come with the open source program Media Player Classic, which is works like an older version of Windows Media Player (short and sweet, quick and easy, the way to go).

Anything audio I just use Winamp 5, Winamp 2 with Winamp 3 skins.

Another vote for Media Player Classic right here!

Videolan plays almost anything you throw at it, except for proprietary codecs like RM and WMV. I highly recommend this : http://www.videolan.org

Bsplayer is also pretty good : http://www.bsplayer.org/

For DVDS, I prefer to use Zoomplayer : http://www.inmatrix.com/

I'm a MPC user. It's good. Go and worship.
